• BIPV (‘building integrated photovoltaics’) systems are solar power generating products or systems that are seamlessly integrated into the building envelope and part of building components such as façades, roofs or windows. Serving a dual purpose, a BIPV system acts to convert solar energy into electricity, while also delivering building envelope functions such as weather protection, thermal insulation, noise mitigation and safety. • Madhav technologies offered a vertical solar system, which would produce the essential clean and green energy to power their office and also cut-off direct sunlight from hitting the building, thus keeping it cool during summers. Benefits • Exclusively specially made stainless steel structures were used on the south facing façade of the building to mount the panels, thus protecting the building from direct sunlight. • Reduction of heat in the building due to the shadowing benefits provided by the panels, helped in reducing the energy required for cooling the building.

• PERC stands for “passivated emitter and rear cell” .PERC solar panels are built with PERC cells, which have an additional layer on the back of the traditional solar cells. This additional layer allows more sunlight to be captured and turned into electricity, making PERC cells more efficient than traditional cells. PERC modules are also able to mitigate rear recombination and prevent longer wavelengths from becoming heat that would impair the cell’s performance.
